Minerals, Metals and Materials Research Workshop
The Minerals, Metals and Materials Technology Centre (M3TC) was established at the Faculty of Engineering of the National University of Singapore (NUS) with support from the Economic Development Board (EDB) of Singapore. The Centre aims to respond to the needs of industry by bringing together the multi-disciplinary expertise of various engineering faculty members to address current and future R&D and manpower training needs in the minerals, metals and materials industrial sectors. An overview of the research activities at M3TC will be provided at this workshop which will be held in conjunction with the 5th Asian Particle Technology Symposium (APT2012). Principal Investigators of various research projects that are currently on-going at the Centre will be invited to present their research findings. These projects range from the development of drying technologies for clean energy applications, mathematical modeling and simulation of air flows in coal mines, to studies of hydrothermal technology and gasification processes for clean energy production.
Further details of the various research programmes of the Centre can be found at the following website (http://www.eng.nus.edu.sg/m3tc/index.html). Participants of APT2012 will be invited to attend the series of talks to be delivered at this workshop. Faculty members, researchers and students of NUS are also encouraged to participate in this workshop and to interact with international researchers from various overseas institutions.
We will be updating this page gradually with information on speakers who are invited to speak at this workshop.
