ABSTRACT

After struggling to establish a post-experience master program focusing on management and leadership for some years, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology researched the market-opportunities for such programs among members of the two professional organizations for engineers in Norway. Based on this research, the university established a flexible, part-time master in management program with several options for in-depth studies in 2006. The program attracted its first students in 2006, and in 2009 the program had 939 course-participants. The program is deemed a success by the university management.
