Training Measures for Improving Adaptability of Technical Personnel for Overseas Engineering Projects

ABSTRACT

As Chinese companies expanding their businesses abroad, more engineers and technicians have been sent to work overseas. This paper analyzes the adaptability problems of culture shocks, communication barriers, management bottlenecks and emotional disturbances commonly faced by these technical personnel on overseas positions, as well as illustrating the changing process of their overseas adaptability. In order to find ways to improve the overseas adaptability of technical personnel, this paper studies relevant international human resources management theories, and proposes some systematic training measures, which focus on the transformation of the mindset of technical personnel, the enhancement of psychological quality and managerial skills.
