Energy, Water, and Sustainability: Online Education Programs for Global Engineering Challenges

ABSTRACT
Online continuing education for the global engineering community in Energy, Water, and Sustainability can be successfully delivered through university based distance learning programs. This work examines curriculum, online delivery infrastructure, studio classroom technologies, and distance student perspectives on education delivered worldwide, through the University of Florida, Electronic Delivery of Gator Engineering (UF EDGE) Program. The combination of the quality of an accredited university based education with the flexibility of online delivery of course lectures provides a practical way for engineering workforce to expand knowledge and qualifications in areas of global engineering need.
