Mobile Computing with Sensors & Social Data for Enhanced In-store shopping for Individuals and Groups

ABSTRACT

This paper focuses on the design of a service and its corresponding mobile application to locate members of the social network who are subscribed to this service. In various situations it may be necessary to locate a friend or a family member in a crowd e.g. in a shopping mall or conference hall etc. It presents mobile as gateway of integrating different network components to improve the user experience while addressing the privacy, security issues and presents enhancing a person or group’s shopping experiences. Content-based, and collaborative recommendation approaches are considered.
