ABSTRACT

This paper elucidates the research and implementation of J2ME based Mobile-Point of Sale application which works in real time synchronization with the server through GPRS, integrated with web services as an interaction medium between client end and server end. The data is imported and exported through XML parsing via JAX-RPC. The microlog is used as a tool for error logging and helps in detecting unauthorized users trying to access the application, logging each transaction and login details separately. The application is then intertwined with the bluetooth technology, by which the invoice, microlog reports can be printed out via portable AMDL bluetooth printer.
