ABSTRACT

In order to support the growing need for multimedia and real-time applications, quality of service (QoS) support by the networking protocol is required for MANETs. Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) is an autonomous collection of mobile devices that communicate on-the-move without base stations. There are different ways of providing QOS methodologies in MANETs. They are Controlled Node movement, Clustering, Vertical coupling (cross layer interactions) and QOS adaptation. This paper presents survey of different QOS techniques for real time applications on MANETs.

Keywords: Routing, MANETs, Quality of service, Bandwidth, Delay.
