ABSTRACT

Cognitive radio network is one of the emerging technologies of wireless communication. The cognitive network is intelligent network which is able to sense the environment and learn the environment form the sensed information. This learning process is performed to adjust network to suitable conditions. The idea of cognitive radio network is gaining popularity in various field of wireless communication. Some of the application areas of cognitive network are dynamic spectrum allocation, military communication, emergency network establishment, self organizing network. In this paper we proposed idea to increase number of users of WLAN communication network by using cognitive network agent. One of the limitations of WLAN is support to limited number of user which can be optimized using cognitive agent. Cognitive network agent is intelligent enough to optimize resources between primary and secondary users.
